I DID IT!  My version of the Suitcase Chair.  Thank you Pinterest for the inspiration!!

This was a figure it out as I go project.  A little tricky, very time consuming but so FUN.

Cut a piece of MDF and glued to bottom of suitcase.  This gave more stability to my legs.

Legs screwed in.

My suitcase opened all the way up so I had to suport the back at an angle.  I used a metal piece I purchased from home depot and covered in burlap.  There are probably many ways to do this and I am not sure if this is the best, but it worked.

Two pieces of foam covered in batting and then my fabric for the seat.  For my fabric I purchased a canvas painters tarp at home depot for $4.00

Glued a piece of MDF to the bottom of my cusion (after I tufted with covered buttons).  I am no expert at tufting I just googled it to figure it out. 

My suitcase already had the gold metal pieces so it made it a perfect spot to sit the MDF board that my cushion was glued to.

Top cusion was one piece of foam wrapped in batting (I used twine to keep my fabric tight on the back). 

So here it is at this stage.

Added fabric to form a large flower on the back.

Painted and glazed the legs.

 There it is!

Super Hero's Save Mommy's Day

Here is an under $5 "save your day" summer activity. 

Daddy's under shirt Super Hero Cape!

Introducing Super Man Marshall and Green Lantern Cooper.

It's So Easy.  Cut out the entire front of daddy's under shirt including the sleeves BUT leave the neck part.  That is what they will slip over their head.

Using felt cut out the logo of the super hero your child wants to be.

Use the left over "front of t-shirt" to cut a long strip to use as the mask.

Use left over felt as arm bands.

Tip:  I used a hot glue gun opposed to fabric glue because I needed these done quickly and the fabric glue would take too long to dry.

Double Stack Funky Frame and More

Double stack funky frame as a Mirror - so cute, so unique and FABULOUS!  My pictures did not turn out very well.  Hanging in the pool bath.

The next two photos are of some custom cornice boards I did for a client but......all I see when I look at this is the awesome painting of her son hanging on the wall.  Shreveport, LA artist Erinn Buteau paints these from a photograph.  I am going to get her contact info. to post here.  I will also post more of her work.  What an awesome keepsake.
